Jingzhou yielded fruitful achievement for establishing Chinese Poetry City, Chinese Couplet Cultural City, Chinese Calligraphy City. Chinese Couplet Association issued a circular recently that Jingzhou was awarded the title of Chinese Couplet Cultural City.

Chinese Couplet Cultural City reflects the comprehensive strength of a city’s historical profundity, cultural taste, level of civilization and so on. Since Jingzhou started the creation work, under the strong leadership of Jingzhou municipal party committee and Jingzhou municipal government, all departments have attached great importance and cooperated actively, meanwhile the general public participated enthusiastically, forming great synergy. Jingzhou promoted the Couplet Cultural City creation work firmly into campus, scenic spots, institutions, enterprises, party construction institutions, communities, countries, organizing the Couplets Contest of Ethnic Chinese in Jingzhou, China. Jingzhou has built a group of symbolic couplet cultural projects, realizing the creation work fully covered and achieving fruitful achievements.

Mr. Jiang Youquan, president of Chinese Couplet Association, highly appraised Jingzhou’s creation work. He said, the secretary of Jingzhou municipal party committee took the command personally, promoting the inheritance and development of couplets culture and achieved remarkable results in a short time. It can be called a national example, worthy of learning and promoting everywhere.

Mr.Liu Shuping, president of Hubei Couplet Association, said Jingzhou’s creation work not only beautify the environment, but also promote the cultural taste, setting up a benchmark of Couplet Cultural City. It will certainly promote the construction of Hubei Couplet Culture.
